About the Role
A mid-level Java/Scala developer is needed for a Federal Government Department located in a range of locations that might be close to you. You will be part of a medium-sized ETL/Data team that focuses in Big Data and Application Design. This is an existing team and as such there are a few areas that you may find your skillset is suited to.
The role is supporting a dashboard that is being engineered for the taxpayer that involves big data and platforms that support the data. You do not necessarily have to have experience in ETL or Hadoop however this would be beneficial.
You will be required to obtain a baseline security clearance before commencement (this will be supported by us). You may also have skills across Hive, Impala, Spark, Hbase, Sqoop and tools such as DataStage or Informatica. Essentially you will be responsible for an ETL function in Big Data.
Locations include: Dandenong, Box Hill and Moonee Ponds. There are also locations in Brisbane and Canberra.
As this role sits with a Federal Government Department you will need Australian Citizenship. You will have a passion for Big Data and how it can be manipulated/maintained. Your experience in previous roles would be solution-focused around big data elements.
You will be continuing your experience in Big Data within a highly reputable business.
