To support this evolution, a pivotal leadership role has become available for a Manager Amenity Protection and will lead significant change to shift the services and operations to a modern regulator approach.
 
The Manager Amenity Protection will lead a diverse portfolio that includes planning investigations, local laws, animal management and parking, school crossings, environmental health, tree investigations and removals and infringement appeals. With a team that is already performing well, this role will drive a stronger focus on the customer and shift the teams to a pro-active approach to regulation and compliance.
 
An enhanced emphasis on staff development will be a key aspect of the new leader’s role with a focus on building capability and capacity of the staff to enhance their careers.
 
Through the service transformation activities that the role will oversee, processes will be streamlined and improved to achieve efficiencies and these changes will be in alignment with the broader digital transformation taking place across the organisation.
 
Finally, you will continue to support the collaborative approach the team takes to working throughout the organisation and drive a strategic and planned approach to improving the operational activities of the team.
 
To be considered a strong candidate for this role, you will be well regarded for your leadership capability and approach and have a track record of taking teams from good to great. With a strong focus on coaching, mentoring and developing staff, you are known for enhancing the careers of those that you work with and someone that people gain great value from.
 
From a technical experience perspective, you will have had a strong focus on service and operations improvement projects across your career and possess deep experience working in a regulatory leadership role throughout your career.
