Reporting to the Executive Director Corporate Services, the Director Compliance, Risk and Information Security will play a critical role in promoting a risk aware, compliance focused and security conscious culture to ensure GOTAFE complies with legal and regulatory requirements. The Director will design and implement contemporary and agile risk and compliance frameworks, as well as processes for protecting the integrity and security of the organisation’s information and data. The Director will partner with the business and ensure effective training and support is provided to enable all GOTAFE employees to adopt and appreciate the necessity of rigorous risk, compliance and security frameworks. Furthermore, the Director Compliance, Risk and Information Security will Chair the GOTAFE Compliance Committee and report to the Board and Executive on strategies for mitigation.
To be considered for this opportunity, GOTAFE are seeking an engaging and empowering leader with demonstrated experience developing and embedding strategies and operationalizing more efficient compliance, risk and security processes, procedures and frameworks. You enjoy building relationships and have demonstrated success getting staff to enthusiastically adopt and undertake more rigorous risk, compliance and security methods. Furthermore, you have experience and confidence providing strategic advice to a CEO, Executive team and Board. GOTAFE are flexible with sector experience but are seeking someone with strong community values and a passion for life-long learning and regional communities. A Sound understanding of the compliance risk management processes (AS ISO 19600:2015), knowledge of key risk assessment techniques and risk management systems (AS31000) and high levels of understanding of information security and data governance will be highly regarded.
