Job Description

A well-respected Government department is looking for an experienced Procurement specialist to drive the development and delivery of procurement frameworks and processes.

About the Role
  • Development and delivery of best practice frameworks, processes, systems, and governance to support category management, sourcing, contract management and related P2P activities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to analyse, design and document functional processes
  • Provide specialist advice and recommendations to the Director, Procurement on diverse and complex issues for key stakeholders to ensure they are provided with accurate and timely information to make informed decisions;
  • Provides accurate and timely advice, including the sourcing of accurate data, and the writing of briefing notes, etc, to ensure they are provided with information to make informed decisions.

About You
  • Minimum 5  procurement experience, preferably within a category management environment
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, development and implementation of continuous business improvement projects
  • Strong project management and change management skills
  • Lean/Six Sigma and project management qualifications are desirable 
  • Well-developed collaboration and communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work without close direction or supervision
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
