The role
Reporting to and working very closely with the CEO, the role of the Director, Office of the CEO, is critical to the future direction of GOTAFE. The Director is accountable for leading GOTAFE’s organisational strategy; overseeing strong governance processes and for enhancing collaboration between the Office of the CEO and the broader business. The role will take responsibility for key and exciting projects on behalf of the CEO. The position involves a range of complex and sensitive activities involving research, analysis, stakeholder management and communication (internal and external to GOTAFE) and provides high level strategic support and advice to the CEO and Board. The role incorporates Board Secretary and is charged with setting the strategic agenda for the board, building trusted relationships with the board and being the conduit between the executive leadership team and the board. Furthermore, the Director is GOTAFE’s key point of contact for State and Federal Government Departments and the Minister’s office.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, GOTAFE are pursuing an engaging, astute, strategic, executive with demonstrated experience developing organisational strategies; high levels of governance and compliance nous; familiarity with company secretariat duties and proven experience delivering high quality, evidence based strategic advice and guidance to a CEO, Executive team and Board. GOTAFE are flexible with sector experience but are seeking someone with strong community values and a passion for life-long learning and regional communities. Furthermore, highly developed stakeholder engagement skills and a demonstrated capacity to enhance collaboration and business partnering within an organisation is expected. A legal background would be highly regarded.
