About the Company
Davidson are a preferred supplier for the government sector and have strong partnerships within local, state and federal government.  We have a number of upcoming opportunities within Queensland Government across key departments. We are looking for reliable and professional market transaction officers who are available immediately.

About the Role
This three month contract is available for an enthusiastic and experienced Management Accountant- Budget Controller. The opportunity is based on the Brisbane City fringe, standard business days are – Monday to Friday. The role is best suited to someone who is passionate about time management, organisation, facilitation of the internal and external budget management process and achieving deliverables. This role does require autonomy and team work. 

  • High volume data management into multiple internal systems
  • Assist with the wider team and their overflow of duties
  • Contribute to a positive and engaging working environment
  • Undertake management accounting functions
  • Forecasting, reporting and analysis
  • Support senior management, through coordination of the annual budget process
  • Ensure compliance is met on a daily basis
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with queries and questions
  • Utilise multiple software to generate and manage data reporting
  • Provide functional expertise for the internal budget allocation processing compliance in line with the department requirements
  • Manage board reporting and data maintenance for senior team members
  • Research and manage general tryst funds in according with prescribed budget guidelines and timeframes
  • Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Undertake other administrative duties as required
About You
  • Previous experience with a government department is essential
  • Excel experience is a MUST
  • Must have relevant tertiary qualifications e.g. CPA, CIMA or ICA qualified
  • Experience working in a fast paced and autonomous environment 
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong and effective communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Understanding of excel principals and report generation
