As the Executive Director you will lead the organisation into a new era with the focus of supporting and promoting strategic development and growth. Working closely with the WDA Board and staff, you will identify and implement projects and initiatives that enhance the economic and employment opportunities for the Wimmera and Southern Mallee Region of Victoria.
Being a key leader for the region, you will enhance relationships and partnerships with local, state and federal government, key stakeholders and agencies in support of economic development opportunities.
You will continuously be seeking to improve regional infrastructure as a leverage point for economic growth and promote the region as an attractive area for industry, tourism, business, services, employment and educational development.
Finally, you will take the lead role in economic initiatives such as the Wimmera Southern Mallee Strategic Plan and Regional Settlement Program
To be successful in this role you will need to bring an exceptional ability to build relationships and develop long term partnerships. You will have a proven record of achievement for catalysing regional growth, economic development and employment opportunities. You have established networks across all tiers of government and a passion for regional areas and seeing them prosper. You are a strategic and innovative thinker that has the ability to lead others in a way that empowers and inspires them to strive for excellence. Most of all, you are known for your ability to execute and roll your sleeves up in the operational aspects to get things done.
