To manage the growing portfolio of real estate assets, it has been identified that an experienced Legal Advisor be appointed to assist in managing the queries on complex leasing matters.
About the Role
Reporting to the Legal Advisor, this role will provide guidance to the Lease Administration Team in finalising and executing documents associated with retail lease agreements. Key duties will include:
- Review of commercial terms of Letter of Offer documentation
- Ensure Lease Proposals reflect agreed commercial terms
- Manage Disclosure Statements and highlight any significant impact of portfolio management
- Recognise opportunities for improved efficiencies in the new operating platform
- Provision of advice and mentoring to the Lease Administration team
- Promote compliance and adherence to risk management strategies
This role will suit a self-motivated individual with a versatile nature who has the ability to work with changing work requirements and demands and who will add value in a relatively short time frame by providing high level advice to a highly driven and dynamic team. The successful candidate will hold their Practicing Certificate along with 2-3 years post admission experience ideally within retail leasing or have commercial property experience. You will hold superior communication skills and have strong analytical skills. An intimate knowledge of retail property legislation will also be highly regarded.
