This local council is one of the fastest growing council in Australia. They are well known for their significant development areas, currently serving a population just above 80,000 people this is expected to triple in the next 15 years. Your role will primarily focus developing, implementing and reviewing strategic land use and planning policies. Additional responsibilities include:
- Delivery of planning outcomes identifies in councils strategic plan and strategic planning branch
- Identify and inform council about emerging issues and trends and recommending appropriate responses
- Attend council, committee and public meetings as required and represent council in negotiation with stakeholders
- Manage complex projects to achieve goals and meet deadlines in a consultative manner
To be successful in this role you will need to show proven experience in or to a Australian local government agency in a similar role, with demonstrated experience on strategic planning projects.
