Job Description

An experienced Project Manager required to implement a positive community focused program focusing strongly within a social media campaign to create program awareness. The key aspect of the role will be to deliver a video compilation aimed for the general public for a community event.
You will be responsible for:
  • Develop and implement project management plans 
  • Communicate with key senior stakeholders to ensure the identification and tracking of project objectives
  • Prepare and present project status reports and communicate project updates to inform decision making at the senior level
  • Manage effective teams and relationships with diverse stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Monitor the completion of project milestones against goals and initiate amendments 
  • Responsible for the management of project finances including budget formation, forecasting and reporting up to 5 million dollars
  • Actively identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and dependencies to program leadership
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with Department policy and procedural guidelines
You must have the below:
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to change language and messages depending on audience
  • Advanced documentation skills, ability to clearly document processes, requirements, problem statements and formal PMO documents
  • Be able to develop effective end user communications
  • Dynamic and positive approach and eager to listen and learn, and get stuck into anything
  • Ability to change direction and approach when business priorities change or move
  • Self-motivated individual that actively takes the initiative with an ability to work autonomously
  • Persistent, effective problem solver with a mix of analytical and creative thinking
  • Experience creating high quality project and program artefacts, within emerging or existing frameworks
  • PRINCE2 Methodology certification or equivalent awareness/experience
  • Experience with the Department of Education, preferably in a project, marketing or HR role
  • Qualifications in marketing or (school-based) education and/or a demonstrated understanding of media campaigns and education in the marketplace
