Job Description

Project Officer opportunity with a reputable Government Department!
Successful candidate will have experience and understanding in:
  • creating and developing Work flow documentation such as, but not limited to: Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), Task Instructions, Workflow and Process charts, Procedural Documentation; User Guides
  • developing a curriculum and associated learning materials (e.g. trainer session plans; participant materials; assessment materials)
  • creating training needs analysis assessments and supporting documentation, as part of a ‘project planning’ phase
  • developing educative, engaging workplace content from an abstract or generalised brief
  • prepare assessment tools and report on the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives
  • obtaining and collating a library of current, role specific documents
  • version control and creating document records
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Publisher and Visio and other learning software (e.g. Camtasia)
  • experience in a Government department framework especially with finance, procurement and services
  • working with virtual teams and environments
The candidate will have a desire to contribute to a positive, supportive and fun workplace culture, and be flexible in the way they get the job done.
  • high level written and oral communication skills.  This incorporates the ability to write formally for some audiences, and ‘simply’ for others
  • experience in an adult Learning and Development environment
  • ability to collaborate with others to meet agreed outcomes and timeframes in addition to being approachable, cooperative and reliable
  • ability to manage time, set priorities and plan workload to meet objectives.  The person should be able to work with minimal supervision, while still keeping leaders and team members updated on progress
  • excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills within a team environment
  • show initiative within the scope of their role and have a ‘can-do’ approach to adhoc work requests from managment
