As Executive Manager Innovation and Futures – reporting directly to the CEO – you will have responsibility for planning and implementing the SMART city strategy of this innovative and growing region. This truly is a career defining opportunity suited to an ambitious, creative and forward-thinking individual with either a background in Urban Design/Master Planning or for an individual currently involved with SMART city innovation. Absolutely key to the success of this role however is possessing the ability to orchestrate and implement SMART city thinking for the benefit of both residents and visitors to the Central Coast. As such, understanding SMART cities from a development and people focus is crucial.
The role, whilst bringing with it boundless opportunities to mastermind a legacy for the region, will in turn demand a diverse set of skills and experiences. The ability to bring together diverse groups of people with varying views is important as is the ability to unify and to lead. A strategic mindset is additionally required to translate broader Council strategy into deliverable outcomes, all the time whilst championing cultural change, internal collaboration and continuous improvement.
As would be expected, highly developed communication and advocacy skills are essential as is the ability to develop effective partnerships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholder groups and businesses.
