Reporting to the CEO, you will bring the Knox vision, and Community and Council Plan into reality. With a remit to drive economic, environmental and social improvements for Knox, this role will lead planning for a growing future to drive and create a prosperous city. A focus on ensuring building, planning, city safety and health meets statutory obligations, the role will also ensure the Directorate utilises up to date research and trends regarding the future world of cities. The role actively leads the directorate to seek relevant insights and stimulus to inform and engender innovative solutions that are grounded in knowledge, user centricity and futures thinking.
With demonstrated people leadership, transformation success, high resilience and a focus on cultural evolution and innovation, you will use your values driven leadership, strategic thinking and collaboration to influence multiple stakeholders and deliver results. Tertiary qualifications are required, preferably in land use and strategic planning or urban design.
