Reporting to the Managing Director, the GM Strategy & Planning will form a critical part of the leadership team, working closely with the Board and the executive to define business strategy and transform City West Water’s strategic intent into tangible initiatives and actions through key organisational plans. These plans range from the overarching Corporate Plan, through to the Pricing Submission and significant Strategic Asset Management Plans. The Strategy & Planning team is responsible for maximising value obtained from CWW’s $1.6 billion infrastructure asset portfolio, through the implementation of innovative solutions to customer problems. Leading a highly capable team of 47 staff across a range of functions, you will promote a culture that drives innovation and is focused on so maximising value for the organisation and customers.
This unique opportunity with CWW will see you engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally, looking to leverage learnings, build partnerships and establish joint projects with others to improve the value CWW creates for its customers. You will also be involved in and lead a number of sector wide initiatives. An important success factor in the role will be to strengthen the organisations safety and environmental performance by embedding safety and environmental principles through all facets of the asset planning approach.
Key to your success will be a proven track record in corporate planning as well as an understanding of strategic asset management. You are well regarded from your dealings with Boards and senior stakeholders in the past and consider your communication skills to be a key strength. A familiarity of the public sector and regulated environments would be extremely beneficial and most importantly you are a strong people focused leader.
