Comprising of a broad portfolio that includes; Recreation & Leisure, Open Spaces, Customer Services & Libraries, this role has the opportunity to play a major part in shaping how services are delivered for the community now and into the future.
 
As the Manager Liveable Communities you will foster a positive, collaborative and high-performance culture that strives for service excellence. Staff will feel empowered, inspired and well supported to achieve their potential and this results in service delivery moving from good to great.
 
Given the current and forecasted growth of the community’s population, a strong emphasis for the role will be contributing to the future planning and strategic positioning to ensure longer term success of the organisation. This will see you working collaboratively across the organisation and developing internal partnerships. Through these established relationships, you will be able to provide your input and expertise to decision making to ensure the best outcomes for the community are achieved with the holistic picture in mind.
 
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring a positive leadership style that has a track record of achieving results. You will be a strong relationship builder that is able to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders. Thinking differently and bringing a continuous improvement mindset sees you working in your element and you have previously led service transformation projects that have shifted services to contemporary and new-age approaches. Finally, you have a strong passion for serving a community and having a real impact.
