GMHBA Stadium is truly Australia’s best regional Stadium. With a capacity of 36,000, and funding to grow to 40,000, the Stadium is home to the Geelong Football Club and host to other professional sporting codes such as the A-League, Australian Rugby Union, National Rugby League, Cricket Victoria and Cricket Australia. Kardinia Park is the beating heart of local and elite sport within the region.

The Kardinia Park Stadium Trust is established to administer, promote and manage the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust Land, with an over-arching objective of contributing to the economic, community, and livability benefits to Geelong and the broader region, that arise from the use of GMHBA Stadium.

Located 75 kilometers south west of Melbourne, Geelong boasts quality living, a strong and growing economy and a cosmopolitan and vibrant community. Geelong is also the gateway to the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf coast. With a population of over 244,000 people, the City of Greater Geelong is Victoria’s largest provincial city. 

Reporting to a highly skilled and high profile board, the new CEO will renegotiate a suite of agreements relative to the Stadium, to deliver a financially sustainable result.  You will maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders including tenants, surrounding users, community groups, and other government entities.  Further, you will oversee Stage Five of the Grandstand redevelopment from capital raising to delivery and you will enhance asset utilisation by attracting more events.

You bring senior executive sports & stadium management experience along with strong commercial and major contract negotiation skills. Your experience in venue and event management has seen you negotiate with major sports and events to procure content and you have delivered community engagement programs working with major businesses.  Further, you have experience in engaging with state and federal governments and bring major project/ capital development experience.  Finally, you are well known for your strong commitment to building positive relationships with others and for your high levels of gravitas.
