The Portable Long Service Benefits Authority is now seeking a dynamic, hands on, passionate, ethical and values based CFO to help establish robust financial systems, processes and procedures in compliance with the Victorian Government Financial Management Act.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be one of the first appointments to the organisation and be a critical part of the set up team, implementing new systems and establishing processes so that the organisation is ready for operation. You will lead the finance function including management of financial transaction flows, budgets, reporting, investments and fixed asset management, taxation reporting and statutory compliance as well as oversee the small corporate services function. You will also provide governance support to the CEO and the Governing Board of the Authority.
A senior financial professional with public sector exposure you will be tertiary qualified with a CA / CPA certification and be an expert in all financial management matters including developing and maintaining budgets, cash flows, financial systems, investment management and risk controls as well as experience in the delivery of Finance, IT or Administration systems. Ideally having had start up experience, you will be a proven leader of people and have the natural ability to foster strong relationships within your team and with broader stakeholder groups. You will have strong business acumen, interpersonal and written communications skills.
