The Portable Long Service Benefits Authority is a new Authority established by the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Authority is responsible for the day to day operations of the new portable long service benefits scheme for the contract cleaning, security, and community services sectors and will become operational on the 1st July 2019.
 
The Portable Long Service Benefits Authority is now seeking a dynamic, passionate, ethical and values based CEO to help establish and lead the Authority.
 
Reporting to the new Chair and Board, this is your opportunity to lead this public-sector start-up, making a difference to the lives of many Victorians. You will be responsible for establishing the operational working environment, driving the direction of the Authority, as well as embedding a positive, values based and high performing work culture in the Bendigo office. As CEO, you will work closely with the Board to develop and implement the strategic vision, mission and objectives for the Authority, as well as form strategic partnerships with Victorian Government agencies, other regulatory bodies and portable schemes.  Your role will have you providing advice to the Board on a regular basis as well as working closely with your leadership team to ensure the new scheme is soundly established to deliver the legislative objectives of the Authority and minimise business and financial risks.
 
A passionate and driven leader of people, you ideally bring start-up experience and lessons which have come from past experiences in setting up a new organisation or function. You understand how to successfully operate in a regulated environment. Experience managing a financial registry, entitlement or superannuation entity would be desirable, however, not essential.  You will be an innovative, inspiring and experienced leader with a proven track record of building high performing teams, driving culture and direction. Strong communication and influencing skills will ensure your ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders including government entities and the Board. An understanding of the public sector would help you to successfully shape the Authority’s operating environment.
