To support this evolution, a vital role has become available whereby the Procurement & Contracts Specialist will lead significant change to enhance the maturity of the procurement model to support the organisation into the future. Reporting to the Manager Commercial Services, this critical role will not only lead the change and enhance maturity through more efficient systems and processes but will also be responsible for:
  • Leading / championing the roll-out of a centralised contract management system and shaping how the system / processes will be used into the future;
  • Enhancing a business partnering approach whereby the organisation sees the function of procurement as adding value and providing support;
  • Lifting the  capability, compliance, governance and reporting across the organisation;
  • Strategically identifying opportunities for savings and planning for the future by educating, advising and supporting staff in effective procurement practices;
  • Leading and building a high functioning customer-centric procurement team.
To be considered for this enviable role, you will have proven experience and credibility working in procurement, ideally in a public sector or statutory authority context. You will have experience leading organisation change and / or enhancing the maturity of a procurement function through more efficient processes, procedures and systems. You will have significant experience coordinating complex tender process and outsourced contracts with the ability to identify better efficiencies and cost savings. Furthermore, you demonstrate success in (and enjoy) building credible trusted partnerships across the organisation and in building a high performing, customer-centric procurement team.
