This high profile national organisation touches the lives of all Australians and all Australia, every day. Reporting to the General Manager, Enterprise Strategy and Transformation, the Change and Transformation Manager will play a key role in ensuring transformational change projects across the organisation are successful and realise their intended benefits. Working with a small team, the Change and Transformation Manager will lead the change management capability centre for the organisation and work alongside and through business areas to deliver outcomes. There is a strong coaching component to this role, including coaching senior leaders and executives in fulfilling the role of change sponsor, and providing direct support and coaching to managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions. Along with the strategic leadership and building the capability of the transformation team, the role will focus on ensuring that change management and business transformation activities are coherent, consistent and coordinated across the organisation. The Change and Transformation Manager will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans, and report regularly to the executive team on progress, risks, issues and impacts of the organisations transformation activities.
You will demonstrate significant experience leading cultural and organisational change in large and complex organisations with a proven commitment to lifting overall capability. With the ability to drive engagement from the executive, you will be known for your collaborative approach and genuine commitment to developing staff and building a positive and creative working environment. You bring a results-focused approach, including driving accountability throughout the organisation, together with the ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve short and long-term organisational performance. With an appreciation of the public sector, you are excited by the opportunity to proactively engage with a diverse and broad range of stakeholders across multiple sites to create a long lasting positive impact for this high profile organisation. A proven business transformation lead you have a reputation for achieving significant change and efficiency gains within organisations, whilst maintaining relationships and engaging staff. Whilst not being a technology professional, you have a grasp on the benefits technology may bring to enabling business outcomes and have confidence in leading technical professionals in the field. Your project management skills are regarded as a key strength. Certification in change management methodology such as Prosci will be highly regarded.
