This is a permanent role in a large organisation that use a large number of customised and out of the box applications.

In this role you will provide System and Application Support to a number on internal and external customers and vendors via phone, email, ticketing systems and so on.
 
Roles and responsibilities:
  • Provide application support to a number of different internal business areas
  • Identify, log, prioritise, diagnose and escalate incidents
  • Log, categorise and complete service requests
  • Provide regular updates on open tickets
  • Identify and diagnose system faults, resolve or escalate the issue as needed
  • Monitor and manage system faults, defects or enhancement requests to ensure they are actioned
  • Update customers on the status of their tickets
  • Participate in testing of bug fixing and deployment when needed
  • Participate in team cross skilling
Experience required:
  • Ability to work with teams in different locations
  • Great communication skills with the ability to articulate issues and resolutions via phone or email
  • Help Desk best practice
  • Extensive experience working in high pressure environments
  • Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders
  • High level analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to take charge and drive issue resolution
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to work autonomously without supervision and also with a team
  • Ability to quickly learn a large number of applications used by customers and stakeholders
