Our client is seeking a General Manager - Strategic Asset and Property Development to successfully lead a diverse range of construction projects. You will be joining the organisation as they embark on an exciting journey to develop a number of live operational and future greenfield sites. In this newly created role, you will oversee a capital program in excess of $20million+ and work closely with the team to put in place the framework for future developments.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will represent the organisation’s interests and provide advisory support on development projects. Being involved from initial concept through to hand-over, you will ensure projects are effectively managed and are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality.
As the pioneering leader for the organisation in this space, you will develop the capability of staff through your experience and leadership and assist the organisation to successfully navigate the nuances and complexities of delivering these projects. With executive level buy-in and support for your role, you will build a project management system tailored to your needs and report regularly on the progress of the diverse range of projects.
You have extensive experience in the management and delivery of major capital works projects and have an outstanding ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Having led teams in the past, you are an inspiring leader that has the ability to build the capability of those around you and you proactively engage with key stakeholders. You have a track record of successfully managing building contractors, engineers, architects and consultants and are known for your ability to negotiate and drive for value for your projects.
