About the Role
As Team Leader/Senior Associate you will be responsible for the leadership and success of the Built Heritage team. This team operates across a wide range of projects (both greenfield and brownfield) ranging in size, complexity and value. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee the day to day management of the business unit with regard to human resources, project management, delivery, administration and pipeline. In addition, you will have full P&L responsibility and will be accountable for the delivery of commercial results in line with plan. With multiple projects being undertaken at any one time, the role will require a high degree of organisation and time management.
While operations management will be a central element of the role, business development and client engagement will be critical in your success. It is anticipated that around 50% of your working week will be spent working on billable pieces of work and your ability to effectively ensure that clients, both existing and prospective are provided with the highest level of service and outcome will be vital.
Contributing to strategy and overall business direction will ensure that the Built Heritage business line remains at the forefront of what is going on in the industry.
This role represents a fantastic opportunity to balance operational leadership, team development and client engagement.
In order to be successful in this role you will have significant experience in built heritage, preferably having spent time in a consulting environment. You will hold relevant academic qualifications in Architecture, Planning, History, or Heritage Studies and have a passion for the sector. Your strong operational leadership experience will be complimented with strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and business development.
The ability to balance a highly varied, at times fast paced and busy workload will require strong skills in organisation and time management.
In addition to formal qualifications and experience, it will be expected that you have a passion for built environment heritage and that your passion for conservation will drive you to become the best leader possible in the market.
This role offers an attractive, highly competitive salary with potential short-term incentives and a pathway to longer-term upside. Based in Pyrmont, the office is easily accessible by public transport.
