Job Description

Our client, a leading Insurance business, requires a Business Consultant to work collaboratively with business stakeholders to analyse business problems then craft solutions. This will be a hands-on role for someone with a consultative approach with an extensive understanding of Insurance processes and business operations, a Business Analyst background and ideally some Management Consulting experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with SME's and senior stakeholders to conduct feasibility assessments and support the development of business cases
  • Plan and facilitate scoping workshops and stakeholder interviews to define high level business requirements and prioritise them to agree the MVP and also develop solution options/recommendations to deliver on this
  • Play a leading role in performing research on existing solutions as well as market research on external solutions to propose solution options and recommendations that will best meet business needs.
  • Organise vendor software product demonstrations when as required to better understand potential solutions
  • Understand the current IT landscape and future direction.
  • Work with projects during the mobilization phase to establish the requirements framework, deliverable templates and tools as defined during the Feasibility and Business Case phases.
  • Plan and deliver work that is high quality and produced in a tight time frame to enable fast decision making and ultimately progress to the Project Delivery phase as rapidly as possible.
  • Provide regular status to the IT Project Governance Manager and business stakeholders.
Key Skills/ Experience:
  • Degree qualified in I.T. or Business or a related discipline
  • 8+ years work In-depth experience working in the Insurance industry
  • Business analysis experience including detailed planning, estimation, and execution of the requirements phase
  • Experience in full SDLC project delivery ideally with a variety of methodologies and analysis techniques
  • Experience working with non-technical staff, defining and documenting business problems, building relationships, and communicating rational, sustainable solutions
  • Experience working with offshore delivery teams preferred
