Job Description

Our client, a leading Insurance business, requires a Manager to work with key vendors to develop and maintain online distribution channels. You will be the primary point of contact for external vendors who provide software products and services via these channels. It will be your responsibility to ensure that internal systems adhere to relevant security, compliance and risk management processes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the main point of contact between key vendors and internal IT and business teams
  • Develop a deep understanding of the systems and infrastructure then utilise this knowledge to manage and assess long-term impacts of any proposed changes via online channels
  • Provide support for internal products delivered via online channels/broking systems
  • Coordinate accreditation of new products and system changes in line with the defined process
  • Maintain visibility of proposed or scheduled changes to broker facing platforms
  • Provide regular progress reports of support issues experienced across broker facing systems via these channels
  • Develop and maintain internal processes and procedures in line with IT audit and governance standards
  • Escalate any issues as required in relation to system enhancements to e-channels
  • Comply with company reporting and audit needs
Key Skills/ Experience:
  • Experience in a similar role working with Ebix teams
  • Degree qualified in IT or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in IT in a customer support environment
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience leading an IT team in IT support or application development environment
  • Customer centric mindset, results focused, resilient, able to build relationships and influence at all levels and have a strong sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated experience with change management strategies that maximize employee engagement
  • Experience in establishing and managing vendor relationships, contract negotiations and management, IT risk and compliance processes
  • Experience working with offshore delivery, globally dispersed teams
