The Opportunity
This is a contract opportunity for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to support high-impact digital service platforms used across a complex, customer-focused environment. You will work within an Agile engineering team, providing advanced AWS Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, and technical leadership across secure, enterprise-scale cloud environments.
About the Role
In this role, you will provide hands-on AWS engineering expertise while helping shape reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms.
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud-native, serverless, and container-based solutions.
- Support AWS landing zone accelerator and multi-account architecture environments.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodeDeploy, and AWS CodePipeline.
- Deliver Infrastructure as Code and automation using AWS CDK with TypeScript.
- Work across EKS, ECS, EC2, Fargate, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, load balancing, and networking.
- Support platform engineering patterns, guardrails, observability, logging, resilience testing, and production troubleshooting.
About You
You will be a technically strong AWS engineer with genuine enterprise cloud and DevOps depth. This is not a “light cloud support” role, so candidates need to bring real hands-on capability.
- Strong AWS Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps experience in enterprise or high-security environments.
- Proven experience with secure DevOps practices, CI/CD, cloud governance, and platform engineering.
- Solid Infrastructure as Code, scripting, automation, and AWS administration skills.
- Experience with AWS workload migrations between accounts.
- Background working with application development teams across scalable, secure application delivery.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to provide technical advice, mentoring, and solution guidance.
- Must have full Australian working rights & be willing to meet hybrid requirements in Brisbane CBD.
