As a Risk Advisor you work as part of a specialist risk team to support the operationalisation of an approved enterprise risk framework. We’re looking for two hands-on Risk Advisors – Operationalisation Specialists to drive day-to-day rollout of risk processes across business units, reporting to the Risk Manager – Implementation Lead.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will support the setup, facilitation and documentation of core risk processes to stabilise operations quickly. Working closely with the Risk Manager and business stakeholders, you will:
- Set up and maintain risk registers; run and document RCSAs; support control design and testing.
- Implement incident and issue management workflows and action tracking; drive remediation follow-through.
- Draft practical procedures, checklists and job aids; deliver short, targeted training sessions.
- Build KRI libraries with data owners and prepare inputs to ELT and Board reporting.
- Maintain momentum through fast, accurate, hands-on execution across multiple business units.
About You
You’re a delivery-focused risk or controls professional who enjoys working with the business to make processes real. You bring:
- 4–8+ years in Operational Risk, Internal Control, Assurance or a related field with a strong delivery focus.
- Familiarity with ACRA/APRA concepts, 5×5 risk matrices, Delegations of Authority (DoA) and operational risk tooling.
- Strong facilitation and documentation skills, with the ability to coach line 1 while delivering outcomes.
- Good Excel and/or Power BI literacy for KRIs, analysis and reporting packs.
- Exposure to government, insurance or claims environments is advantageous.
- Naturally organised you’re pragmatic and comfortable juggling multiple streams of work while staying close to the detail.
