North Brisbane based opporunity, 1-2 days per week in the office.

The Role
As a Release & Environment Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of enterprise pre-production environments and overseeing coordinated releases across multiple projects and systems.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and maintaining the release and environment strategy, including configurations, access controls, and data refresh cycles.
  • Coordinating release schedules and deployment activities across multiple delivery teams.
  • Facilitating release readiness reviews, milestone tracking, and Go/No-Go approvals.
  • Managing end-to-end release processes including version control, packaging, and deployment governance.
  • Working closely with architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure stable and consistent environments.
  • Identifying risks, coordinating post-release reviews, and driving continuous improvement in release management practices.



About You
In order to be a successful applicant, you will bring experience leading release and environment functions across complex digital or enterprise systems.

You will also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in software release management, DevOps, or IT delivery environments.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo) and version control systems (Git, SVN).
