This program is centred around building future-focused digital products that empower everyday consumers to embrace utilities that will have a positive impact in climate action. We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Owner for an initial 12 month contract. ASAP start

About the Role
In this 12-month contract, based in Melbourne’s CBD, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including UX designers, developers, project managers, and marketing to bring this high-impact tool to life. From prioritising feature requirements to co-developing the product roadmap and coordinating sprint cycles, you’ll be the glue that holds product delivery together.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and rollout of the digital platform
  • Collaborating with designers, analysts, developers, and marketing to define and deliver product features
  • Developing and maintaining the product backlog, setting sprint goals and prioritising feature releases
  • Owning the product roadmap and evolving it based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and business strategy
  • Using human-centred design principles to guide product decisions and customer experience
  • Coordinating with external vendors and internal delivery teams to meet project milestones
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders across government, energy, and consumer sectors
  • Supporting the development of business cases for future enhancements and new product opportunities

About You
You’re a natural collaborator and systems thinker, comfortable navigating both big-picture roadmaps and day-to-day backlog prioritisation. You’ve successfully launched digital products in the past and know how to keep stakeholders aligned, vendors accountable, and users at the centre of every decision.


Must-haves:

  • Proven experience owning digital product development from conception to release
  • Ability to translate research and consumer insights into prioritised product requirements
  • Confidence in leading sprint planning, coordinating releases, and managing roadmaps
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across tech, design, marketing, and executive teams
  • Experience in the energy, utilities or another regulated sector. (renewable energy)
  • Comfort working with channel partners and presenting to senior stakeholders
